B & M Joinery Cromwell is currently a team of 8 (9 if you count our dog Oakley!) with a combined experience of more than 70 years in the industry.
We're excited to offer an excellent chance for a Sales & Design Consultant to become part of our team in Cromwell, Central Otago. This is a full-time maternity cover position, with the potential for the role to transition into a permanent contract.
Candidates should possess at least 2 years' previous experience in a similar Design role, preferably with specific knowledge in joinery. While sales experience is advantageous, we also offer training for suitable applicants.
Main tasks include: Provide excellent customer service while selling products to meet client needs
Produce, read, and interpret quotes in a timely manner, as well as following up on issued quotations
Design concept plans for quotations
Complete assigned tasks on time and to company standards
Inspect products for quality
Qualify potential clients and adjust sales content accordingly
Stay updated on competition and market trends, and continuously update professional knowledge
Adhere to workplace health and safety protocols
Other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested
Other key skills and attributes include: Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.
Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given, and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
A full, clean driver's licence
