The role
We are searching for a Senior Management Accountant to cover not 1 but 2 paternity covers over an 18-month period. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to gain valuable commercial experience in a fast paced and rapidly growing financial services firm. The role will focus on providing MI to the Wealth Management leadership team.
This role can be based in Wellington or Auckland.
Key responsibilities
You will be given ownership of our quarterly attribution cycle.
Run month-end accounting at both a business unit and entity level.
Present revenue analysis cut multiple ways.
Revenue and Expense forecasting and modelling.
Provide detailed analysis and insights around key drivers, costs and opportunities.
Modelling of acquisition of wealth advisers / client lists / firms.
Maintaining the wealth revenue Power BI reporting for Advisers
Contribute to reporting packs to senior management and Board papers
Preparation of regulatory reporting to NZX daily and monthly
Liaison with auditors on financial statements and the controls environment
About You
You will be a qualified CA (or equivalent), preferably with at least 1- 3 years post qualified commercial experience but not essential. You will have a high competency with the MS Suite, particularly excel and proven data analysis turned presentation skills. In the FirstCape environment you will be self-driven & results oriented individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Interacting with colleagues across the business will be a key part of your role so we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communication at all levels via various mediums.
