The Role
We are seeking to appoint an Accounting Assistant based in our Parnell office. This role reports to the Finance Manager and is a full-time role.
You will be responsible for:
Day to day financial management, including processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, journal entries for prepayments, depreciation and accruals
Monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations, end of month processes through to P&L, and balance sheet reconciliations
Invoicing clients and following up on overdue debtors
Maintaining financial records in Xero and project financials, including management of consultant fees and recovery
Payroll processing
Reviewing GST/FBT/PAYE
Cashflow forecasting
Assisting with general administrative tasks
To be successful in this role you will need:
A minimum of 2 years’ relevant NZ accounts experience
Strong Excel skills and systems experience including Xero.
Experience with project management software such as Workflowmax or Projectworks is advantageous
The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Good communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
A high level of attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency
