About The Role
Reporting to a supportive manager, this part-time role will be essential to the day-to-day processes within the finance team. This is a permanent opportunity for approx. 24 hours per week (flexible across either school hours or full days) . Key responsibilities include:
Accounts payable
Accounts receivable
Maintain general ledger
Expense allocations
Bank reconciliations
Support month-end close
Complete NZ statistics surveys
Assist with year-end reporting and audits
Other ad-hoc duties as directed by your manager
About You
You'll hold a minimum 2 years of accounting/finance experience and be confident with accounting principles and systems. Proficiency in MS Excel/Word is essential. You will take pride in your work being accurate and you will value efficiency, and positivity. Strong written/verbal communication is a must. You will also be open to a collaborative mindset. Your desire to work for a charitable organisation helping families across Aotearoa will form a large part of your drive in this role.
You're someone who takes ownership of every bit of work that you take on, and have an inquisitive nature, always looking at ways things can be done better. Above all else, you are keen to be involved with a fun, hard-working team where you can add value in a short space of time.
