Our Laboratories are responsible for testing civil engineering materials such as aggregates, soils, concrete, and bituminous materials to support our clients’ manufacturing and construction activities.

The Opportunities:
Our Napier and Gisborne Laboratories are looking for Civil Engineering Laboratory Technicians to join their teams, from Assistants with no previous experience through to experienced Laboratory Technicians. Full training will be provided if you don't have previous lab experience. You will be able to make a significant contribution towards supporting the Cyclone Gabrielle Recovery efforts in the Hawkes Bay and Tairawhiti regions.
You will be required to conduct hands-on testing of civil engineering materials, such as concrete, soils, bitumen, and aggregates to NZ and International Standards. These roles will involve a variety of projects working in the laboratory or out in the field. There will be the occasional night shift work with these roles.
About You:
An interest in or previous experience working in a civil engineering laboratory
Previous experience working in construction, roading, or farming industries preferred, if no previous civil laboratory experience
A good level of fitness and strength, as these roles can be physically demanding and require heavy lifting of testing materials (up to 30kg)
Holds a current clean driver’s license.
Willing to travel as and when required for work
