We are looking for a dynamic and outgoing Senior Retail Assistant to join our gallery shop based in the CBD. In this busy role, you will be part of our highly passionate and knowledgeable team, providing top-notch sales and customer service experiences. This role requires you to supervise staff and will include coaching and training staff and other administrative duties. You will also be offered the opportunity to upskill with ‘Getting Ready to Lead' workshops.
You must have proven supervisor and retail sales experience. Providing manaakitanga to both visitors and the retail team on a day-to-day basis requires adaptability, authenticity, and empathy. You will also have the ability to educate customers on our unique range of New-Zealand-made items, publications, and design products, as well as perform a range of other duties, including cash handling, visual merchandising, and assisting with stock deliveries.
A background in the arts (education and/or work experience) is beneficial, however, not essential. What's vital is that you bring your passion for customer service and your love of sharing your enthusiasm and knowledge of retail products with others.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours, Tuesday to Saturday.
