About the role:

We're seeking a motivated Assistant Retail Manager to join our enthusiastic and highly productive retail management team inour Briscoes Henderson store.We're looking for a leader that lives and breathes striving for customer excellence!

This is a full time role, working 40 hours a week from Tuesday through to Saturday.

Our people are the driving force behind our success, so we understand the importance of looking after our team. For the right person we offer competitive remuneration, two consecutive days off (with one being a weekend day), team member product discounts and plenty of opportunities for training and career development!

Key responsibilities will include:

Coaching and mentoring team members to meet and exceed targets

Being accountable for the profitability of the store/s within the Profit Centre (PC)

Making sure administrative and audit processes are followed

Maintaining the integrity of inventory

Making sure our stores are a safe environment for our people and customers through actively promoting our "Safe Home Every Day" framework

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

Relevant retail experience, ideally in a big-box retail setting

Prior experience of managing staff

Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and sales skills

A high level of business acumen and excellent communication skills

The ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated, and work as a team player

Flexibility to work rostered shifts including weekends
