Oceania Dairy is seeking an individual to join our Maintenance and Services team with desire to progress their career as a Maintenance Engineer. This exciting opportunity grants the successful candidate to work with the latest high-speed machinery and equipment, complex operating systems and add a broad range of skills to their skillset.
The role of Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the hands-on completion of maintenance and preventative work within our Dairy Manufacturing plant and will be asked to complete tasks of a varying nature daily. These tasks are essential to the vitality of the organisation, putting emphasis on ensuring high standards of asset care, safety, and quality. The combination of ensuring process repairs is performed in a timely manner while maintaining engineer and quality standards, is the core of this role.
The successful candidate will have a flexible and approachable personality and an open and inclusive manner, to manage the diversity of the role. Alongside this, the candidate should highly value both quality and safety, and understand the management of these two within daily routine. This role requires daily collaboration with varying departments, requiring strong teamwork and relationship skills.

This role is based on site based at Glenavy, close to Waimate, Oamaru and Timaru.

What experience are we looking for?
Experience in similar Dairy Production facilities would be an advantage.
Previous experience in Safety and Quality - food manufacturing plant would be an advantage.
Previous asset management, risk assessment, and continuous improvement methodology.
