The OpportunityBased in our Auckland CBD Terminal and reporting to the Upper North Island Operations Manager this role is responsible for ensuring all scheduled maintenance and required repairs to plant and equipment is safely undertaken as per the terminal maintenance plans.
This included urgent repairs whilst maintaining a comprehensive database on repairs and maintenance records as well as documenting all future requirements. Responsibilities :
Provide mechanical support in the areas of preventative maintenance, break downs, and improvements.
Conduct regular inspections and perform maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal operational efficiency.
Collaborate with the Terminal Leadership Team and fellow team members to develop innovative solutions to minimize breakdowns and enhance plant reliability.
Adhere to safety protocols and actively participate in creating a secure work environment.About You
Proven experience as maintenance technician / engineer, preferably within an industrial environment.
Trade certificate in an engineering or mechanical discipline is desirable.
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
Basic understanding of pneumatic butterfly valves operation, augers, electrical and hydraulics.
Working knowledge of hand and electrical tools.
Manual dexterity and strong problem-solving skills.
Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
SAP maintenance planning experience
Sound knowledge of Word and Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
