Job Description Job Details:

\n Location: Auckland Region

\n Pay Rate: $28 – $35 per hour (depending on experience)

\n Employment Type: Full-time, permanent (minimum 30 hours/week guaranteed)

\n We are currently looking for 5 skilled and experienced carpenters to join our growing team. If you take pride in quality workmanship and have a strong background in residential or commercial construction, we want to hear from you!

\n Key Responsibilities:

\n \n \n Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare the project layout and determine the required dimensions and materials.

\n \n Measure, cut, or shape timber, plastic laminates, fibreglass, and other materials.

\n \n Construct building frameworks, including but not limited to wall studs, floor joists, and door frames.

\n \n Assemble and fasten materials to make framework, using hand tools and wood screws, nails dowel pins, or glue.

\n \n To nail fascia panels, sheathing roofs and ceiling batten, fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames

\n \n Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools.

\n \n May construct concrete formwork.

\n \n Work on top of stilts, ladders, scaffolds, top beams of buildings, etc.

\n \n Report to the project manager/ team leader and work as part of a team.

\n \n The employee may need to work at different sites within the Auckland Region

\n \n Requirements:

\n \n \n Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience

\n \n Good understanding of construction methods and tools

\n \n Physically fit and capable of manual labour and working at heights

\n \n Must be able to pass health and criminal background checks if required

\n \n Available to work flexible hours, including Saturdays if needed

\n \n Must be eligible to work in New Zealand and available for immediate start
