Carpenter

Job Description BNM Homes Limited is seeking a experienced and reliable Carpenter to join its construction team for residential construction projects across Auckland. The company is involved in a range of residential building and construction work, and is looking for skilled carpenters who can contribute to projects from structural framing through to general carpentry and finishing work.

\n Key Responsibilities

\n \n Carry out general carpentry, framing, fixing and construction duties across residential construction sites.

\n Measure, mark, cut, shape, assemble and install timber and other building materials.

\n Construct and install wall frames, floor structures, roof framing and other timber components.

\n Install doors, windows, architraves, skirting, mouldings and other building components as required.

\n Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications and measurements.

\n Set out and check dimensions to ensure construction work is accurate and complies with project requirements.

\n Use hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment safely and effectively.

\n Assist with the installation of flooring, cladding and other construction components where required.

\n Inspect completed work to ensure it meets required quality and workmanship standards.

\n Work closely with builders, supervisors, subcontractors and other trades on construction sites.

\n Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area.

\n Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment.

\n Identify and report any construction issues, defects, material shortages or safety hazards to the supervisor.

\n Complete carpentry tasks within agreed project timeframes while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

\n Perform other reasonable carpentry and construction-related duties as required.

\n \n Experience and Qualification:

\n Level 4 qualification or higher or 6 months experience
