Courier Driver

Job Description J&C Transport NZ Limited is seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team in Auckland.

\n As a Courier Driver, your objective will be to collect and provide safe delivery of mail, packages, parcels and other goods in a timely manner.

\n YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PERFORMING THE FOLLOWING TASKS TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS:

\n \n Delivering parcels, ensuring they’re delivered safely.

\n Using handheld scanners to log information.

\n Loading, transporting, unloading and delivering mails, parcels and other goods in a safe and timely manner.

\n Providing excellent customer service, answering questions and escalating any complaints from clients.

\n Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.

\n Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.

\n Keeping & maintaining records of items received and delivered.

\n Assisting with receipting inward mail, checking wrongly addressed, missorted, undelivered and redirected mail, and processing Freepost and underpaid mail.

\n Sorting and sequencing items for delivery.

\n Keeping an eye out for opportunities to improve the way we deliver our services taking on customer feedback.

\n \n Qualification, Experience and Attributes Required

\n \n NZ Class 1 driver's licence preferred but not mandatory as long as you can legally drive in New Zealand on an overseas/international licence.

\n Physically fit, able to lift parcels safely.

\n Good Team member with a Can-do approach.

\n Strong work ethic, to work well within a team.

\n Able to work on weekends & Public Holiday.

\n Able to work on the rotational roster with an early start and/or late finish according to the workload.

\n Able to pass Drug and Alcohol Test.

\n Able to pass Ministry of Justice or Police Check.
