General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)
Russley Golf Club, one of the premier golf facilities in Canterbury, conveniently located right next to Christchurch International Airport and the northern motorway, is looking for a new General Manager to lead the development of the club into the future.
Voted NZ Golf Club of the Year in 2020, it has a strong and passionate membership who value its location, course presentation and has one of the strongest coaching teams in NZ. The club prides itself on quality, innovation, respect, enjoyment and enjoys a large and growing junior programme.

The purpose of this position is the sustainable progression and development of the Russley Golf Club and Function centre.
Working closely with the Chairman and the board to deliver the RGC Strategic Plan, your essential functions will be -.
Selling, planning and delivering Corporate Golf events and visitor golf bookings.
Manage the golf facilities and provide administrative support and guidance to the various Committees.
Promote green fee sales, driving range utilisation, and golf cart revenue.
Responsible for improving work procedures, creating efficiencies and maintaining high levels of service quality and facility presentation.
Growing our café, bar and functions business.
Support the development of budgets/forecasts and responsibility for the financial performance of the club.
Support promotion of the Club through the agreed digital media channels.
The successful applicant will have -
Demonstrable leadership and relationship skills.
A proven track history of growing revenues and managing costs in a competitive environment. This extends to effectively managing the balance sheet position and closely managing cash flow requirements.
Minimum five-years’ experience in a Senior Management or senior sales role.
Experience in working with and reporting to a Board.
A strong understanding of accounting, financial analysis and reporting.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead a small team of professionals.
It is a full-time role with a degree of flexibility for the right candidate.
