Mō te tūnga | About the role
Te Hau o Te Ora Medical Centre, Invercargill, has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team as a Medical Receptionist for a 3-month fixed-term.
The receptionist is a pivotal person in the medical centre environment as they are the first point of contact with patients and visitors. They also co-ordinate services and play a major role in the prioritising clinical workflow and managing patient expectations.
You will contribute to the efficient running of the medical service, provide support to the team and oversee the reception and general ‘housekeeping’ of our work environment.
Our medical Centre is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
You will be joining a fun, supportive and professional team who make a significant impact on the quality of life for our tāngata. Be part of this and contribute to our tāngata living their best life.
This role is based in Invercargill and is a full-time position for 3-months.
Ko wai koe | About You
If you thrive on learning new things, pick things up quickly, and are able work well in a role that requires you to manage multiple demands, this is definitely for you.
Communication is key in this role, you will enjoy meeting new people, and bring to this role your warm, positive, kind and enthusiastic nature.
The highest standard of confidentiality, discretion and empathy are essential.
Though not a deal breaker, you will ideally have had some experience working in primary care or a similar role in a healthcare setting though full training will be provided.
To qualify for this role, you must:
Be in New Zealand and legally able to work without sponsorship.
Hold a full New Zealand drivers’ licence.
Hold a current first aid certificate or be prepared to obtain one.
Be required to undergo pre-employment screening.
Complete and return and clear Ministry of Justice Criminal History Check.
