What we are looking for:
Our Christchurch Professional Services team are looking for an experienced consultant to work with our clients on new, existing and projects as we continue to grow and expand our team.
This role will provide strategic consulting to clients and work with other team members to develop and mentor their technical and professional skills.
Reporting directly to the South Island Services Manager, you will be supported by a Talented Team of other Engineers and Consultants to ensure the customer gets the right outcome every time. You will be well supported by a locally owned business with over 170 staff; you are free to flourish, progress and develop your career further at Cyclone.
As a Solutions Engineer you will be required to conduct discovery and pre-sales working closely with our sales team and will draft and deliver presentations, demonstrate the features of company products, and create customized solutions tailor made for our customer’s needs.
Cyclone Solutions Engineers are responsible for maintaining customer's infrastructure, software stack and for the successful delivery of customer projects. Working alongside key account managers and other engineers you will take ownership of customers environments ensuring they have their roadmaps clearly defined as well as delivering projects to a successful outcome. You will contribute to the development and implementation of defined national service standards to support our business with existing and new clients.
What you will do:
Develop and foster positive relationships with all customers.
Commitment to deliver quality outcomes for clients.
Assist in resolving complex technical problems and investigating the root cause of problems.
Deliver second to none outcomes to Cyclone’s customers.
Analyse and provide solutions to complex technical problems to ensure ICT performance outcomes meets service level requirements.
Delivery of services for implementations including pre-sales, requirement analysis, project delivery, and ongoing support.
Cyclone expects a team-oriented approach to team behaviour, and participation in the broader elements of the team you are employed in is expected, as is participation in other duties that may be required from time to time.
What you will bring:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong planning, organising and prioritising skills.
Experience writing SoW’s and other documents from both a technical and a business perspective.
You have previous experience at a consultant level with a broad generalist skillset and you will have kept up to date on the latest technologies.
A strong background with infrastructure architecture from design to implementation.
Recent MSP experience is viewed favourably.
Experience working cross functionally in teams spanning departments.
