About the Role
We are looking for an experienced accountant to join our team based in Otago. This role reports to the CFO and will work alongside three others in the team, with payroll and accounts being direct reports. This role includes usual accounting functions but there are a couple of exciting projects in the pipeline that will offer opportunities for development. These include the replacement of the payroll and finance systems, as well as a move towards using Power BI for financial and non-financial reporting. This role will suit someone who is looking for variety and likes to improve processes and systems.
Responsibilities:
Month end accounting
Assisting with year end, forecasting, and budgeting
Financial and board reporting
Recommend best supply and procurement options and opportunities through the use of data analytics with support from the Business Analysis Team
Formulating and analysing management reports
Identify and implement process improvement
Skills and Experience:
Four years’ experience in a similar role or professional services
Strong communication and leadership skills
Intermediate to advance skills using Microsoft Suite
