\nAre you a commercially minded leader who knows the plumbing and service industry inside out? Our client, a New Zealand-owned building services company delivering plumbing, drainage, gasfitting, electrical, mechanical and HVAC services nationwide, is looking for a Service Manager to lead their Dunedin plumbing service division.\n

\nThis is a key leadership role for someone who can build a strong team, deliver commercially and take a successful business unit to the next level.\n

About the Role \n

\nReporting to the Regional Manager, you'll run the day-to-day operations of the Dunedin service business unit. You'll lead the service trades and office staff, and be accountable for profit targets and business development.\n

Key Responsibilities \n

\n \n Own P&L performance, spotting opportunities and areas for improvement

\n Grow domestic and structured service work, including pull-through work

\n Support service contracts across the South Island

\n Oversee quoting and pricing, following up to win work and protect margin

\n Manage key accounts and make sure customer expectations are met

\n Work with the service coordination team to maximise trades utilisation

\n Collaborate with the Dunedin contracting teams to support the wider branch

\n Lead hiring, development, performance and remuneration reviews (HR support available)

\n Champion health and safety, including audits and critical risk management

\n What You'll Bring \n

\nEssential\n

\n \n Proven experience in senior management, operational leadership or service management

\n Strong commercial acumen, including P&L and budget management

\n A track record in business development and revenue growth

\n Proven people leadership and the ability to build a high-performing team

\n Strong understanding of the plumbing and service industry

\n Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making skills

\n Full, clean New Zealand Driver Licence

\n Desirable\n

\n \n Certifying Plumber qualification (highly regarded)

\n Gasfitting and/or Drainlaying qualifications
