Apply your professional judgement and technical expertise to maintaining the integrity of the cadastre

This role could suit remote workers, with flexible working options

As Assistant Surveyor-General you will have the opportunity to provide leadership in the development of the cadastral system, including its further digitisation and the related enablement of 3D.

We are looking for a senior technical leader focused on ensuring the overall quality and integrity of the cadastral system. Through strong collaboration you will provide technical leadership to Toitū Te Whenua's teams, giving direction and decisions that help them deal with complex issues and provide excellent service.

You will report to the Surveyor-General and be one of 11 survey staff in his team. This role will be based in one of our offices in Wellington, Hamilton, or Christchurch. We are also open to those working from remote locations for the right candidate.

You must be, or have been, a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor.

You will have a thorough understanding of the cadastral survey system and its records and significant experience of working within the cadastre. Experience in a regulatory environment will also be helpful.

The annual salary range for this role is:  $127,260 - 149,714
