\nABOUT THE ROLE\n

\nUTIC PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Painter to join our commercial maintenance team.\n

\nThe role involves internal and external painting, surface preparation, protective coatings, finishing works and commercial line marking across retail and commercial sites throughout Victoria.\n

\nYou will be working in active commercial environments and may be required to undertake painting works at heights.\n

\n

\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n

\n●Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling and priming.\n

\n●Apply paints, stains, varnishes and protective coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.\n

\n●Mix and match paints to achieve required colours and finishes.\n

\n●Complete internal and external commercial painting works.\n

\n●Undertake commercial line-marking works, including preparation, measuring and application of painted lines, symbols and safety markings.\n

\n●Protect surrounding surfaces and work areas before painting.\n

\n●Inspect completed work and carry out touch-ups where required.\n

\n●Clean and maintain painting and line-marking equipment.\n

\n●Follow WHS, SWMS and site safety procedures.\n

\n●Work collaboratively with supervisors and other team members to complete projects on time.\n

\n

\nSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\n

\n●Minimum 2 years of professional painting experience.\n

\n●Relevant painting and decorating qualification, such as AQF Certificate III or equivalent, is highly regarded.\n

\n●Experience in commercial, industrial or property maintenance painting.\n

\n●Experience with surface preparation, coatings and spray equipment.\n

\n●Commercial line-marking experience will be highly regarded.\n

\n●Experience working at heights and on active commercial sites.\n

\n●Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes.\n

\n●Good communication and time-management skills.\n

\n
