As a Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance, repairs, and inspections of our vessels' mechanical and electrical systems. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and diagnosing any technical issues that may arise during operations.
Shifts can vary between 13 - 15 hours in duration depending on the day of the week and peak holiday times and follow a 3 days on 3 days off roster including public holidays. Based primarily out of our Hamer Street terminal, you will gain wide exposure to all our vessels and as such, no two days will be the same.

To qualify for this role, you should have:
Engineering qualification (MEC6) or higher (essential).
Minimum of 2 years maritime experience and sea service.
Approved competency level (approved by Fleet Engineer or higher).
Vessel repairs and maintenance.
Sound engineering skills, both sea and in port.
Ability to pilot the vessel in an emergency.
Effective technical skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Problem solving skills.
Key responsibilities include:
Management of large vessel mechanical operating systems
Monitor generator, engines, equipment and gear hourly.
Maintain complete and current log entries.
Conduct deck rounds.
Conduct safety ship management duties.
Repairs and maintenance.
Painting and cleaning.
Relieve Master on watch.
Provide general information / interest announcements to passengers.
Conduct visual, radar and radio watch.
Raise and lower ramp.
Ensure safe loading, unloading and stowing of passengers, vehicles and freight.
Release and recover mooring lines.
Proactive communication and assistance with the onshore Engineering team.
