About the employer: My client is a well-respected not-for-profit organisation that benefits New Zealanders by ensuring correct infrastructure and security to our internet services.
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Public Impact, this role is critical for the overall success of the business. This annual event/hui involves crucial delegate experience for multiple stakeholders.
Given the breadth of the event, the role will need to work alongside a wide range of stakeholders including sponsoring organisations, subject matter experts, and third-party suppliers.
About the role:
Oversight of all activities associated with the management and delivery of agreed outcomes
Provides leadership, support and guidance to the project team
Works with Te Puni Māori and other Māori staff on appropriate tikanga in the design + delivery
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation including co-design work with Māori
Works with the communications team to develop awareness of the event, the delegate experience, event website, and proactive communications before, during and after the event
Share updates with Management and Governance about how the work is progressing to ensure deadlines with the desired outcome are met.
About you:
Appropriate Agile and project certifications such as Prince2
Demonstrated experience in program and project management and delivery methodologies
Experience in the design and delivery of public-facing large scale events
Working knowledge of tikanga and te ao Māori
Has experience in working in an organisation that gives practical effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your work and delivery of an event
Understands how to communicate effectively and has presented in a range of mediums and audiences.
