The Area Health & Safety Advisor is a key role within the Carters H&S team. Reporting to the National Health & Safety Manager, the role provides support for multiple branches and three manufacturing sites across the region. You will build relationships with Area & Site Managers, and their employees on a daily basis - visiting sites, providing advice and expertise, and driving safety management forward.

Supporting the operational team to achieve success in safety, your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining and coordinating SMS activities across various branches
Driving compliance activities, improvement planning & implementation, investigations and corrective actions
Training and guidance in all things H&S, including being the specialist 'go-to' person for managers and team members
Helping to drive a positive and safe working culture across all sites
You will have the following:
Hands on EHS experience within a medium to large organisation including sound H&S knowledge of NZ legislative requirements.
Proven ability to influence at management and branch/factory floor level
Passion for safety
A highly motivated and organised work ethic, with strong attention to detail
A clean drivers license as travel is required
A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential
