You will work with the team to assess, plan and deliver treatment to clients with substance-use issues. The service operates Monday to Friday during office hours.

This is a case management role for our secondary addiction service, but there is an option to do some intake / triage work as part of the role.

We are part of the Adult Mental Health Services based in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. Our Alcohol and Other Drug service is a multidisciplinary team of Nursing, Allied Health, Psychology, Psychiatry, Administrative Support and Leadership staff.

We offer our services across the Bay of Plenty in a variety of settings, including at satellite services and in the client's home.

We have a learning and supportive culture within the team, which leads to opportunities for growth and empowerment for individual staff members and the service.

We currently have a vacancy in the secondary addiction service based in both Eastern and Western Bay of Plenty therefore the role has flexibility in where it is based either in Tauranga or Whakatāne.

You will have great communication skills and be able to work in a busy team environment, but we will also consider applications from less experienced clinicians if they have the personal qualities we are looking for.

An ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team is essential for this role, as are excellent assessment, risk management and interpersonal / communication skills.

This position is open to Registered Nurses, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists and DAPAANZ-registered clinicians.

This is a permanent position however there is flexibility in the FTE and we would be interested to hear from candidates who are looking for part-time hours, a fixed-term contract or a secondment from another Hauora a Toi mental health team.
