Worklink Wellington is contracted by the Ministry of Social Development to support people with a disability into employment. We support people into work and then maintain ongoing employment. You'll build rapport to establish Whānau work preferences, employment goals, and support to plan and problem-solve to ensure Whānau have the smoothest transition back into the workforce.
You'll be required to work with your team to meet targets around engaging and maintaining people within employment.
You will be part of a small team of five. The team is contracted by MSD, to deliver employment services who are faced with mental illness.
The team is spread across Wellington and Christchurch, with the Wellington office being in Port Road, Seaview (Lower Hutt). This role is based in Wellington, and you will cover most of the Wellington region along with a colleague.
This role is permanent full-time (40 hours per week). These hours are based on client needs Monday to Sunday 7am-7pm.
You will ideally have knowledge/prior training in Individual Placement Support - Google it! Understanding this will be key to being successful within your role
You will have a natural way of making feel at ease, and a calm approach with Whānau is essential
You'll be driven to meet targets and achieve the best outcomes for Whānau
You will be working autonomously and independently however also linking in with your colleague
Your hard work and commitment to Whānau will assist you in exceeding team targets
Experience in job coaching or work placement in a similar role
A full NZ driver's Licence and the eligibility to work in New Zealand
