The Communication Manager role is a key leadership position responsible for Tourism New Zealand's strategic internal and external communications and engagement, supporting the organisation to achieve its strategy and business plan.
This is a diverse role that will see you leading a team to create and deliver Tourism New Zealand's corporate internal and external communications approach, including proactive and reactive media engagement, corporate digital channels and supporting Industry engagement and communications.
You will work with stakeholders across our global organisation including providing strategic support to the Chief Executive and Executive team as well as with external stakeholders in government and the tourism sector.
What you will need Ngā pūkenga mō tēnei tūrangaWe are looking for someone who thinks strategically, is a natural planner and is adept at ensuring communications and engagement activity has measurable impact.
Your experience will include :
8+ years corporate communications experience.
Experience leading a high-performing Communications team.
Experience developing and delivering internal and external communication strategies.
Proven experience in news media management and acting as a media spokesperson.
Understanding of machinery of government with experience in communication management roles in the public sector.
Experience producing corporate communication material and supporting organisations with communicating organisation strategy and plans internal and externally.
