Registered and Enrolled Nurses - Specialist Mental Health Pool Permanent and Casual SMHS Nursing pool positions for RNs and ENs with mental health experience.
While mental health experience is desirable, applications from staff who wish to gain experience within mental health are welcomed.
Must be Registered with the Nursing Council of NewZealand with a current APC and must have a mental health scope ofpractice.
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of acohesive Multi-Disciplinary Team.

Onboth the Specialist Mental Health Services' permanent and casual pools, we haveneed for Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses with mental health experience.Primarily based at Hillmorton Hospital, you will be providing cover acrossinpatient services; including acute adult admitting units, high/ complex needsservices, intellectual disabilities, forensics, specialty services, Mothers andBabies, Eating Disorders, Alcohol and Drug, and child and youth services.

Thisposition requires a background in mental health, working as either a RegisteredNurse or an Enrolled Nurse, and the ability to work both autonomously, andalongside the mulitidisplinary teams you will be working with. The opportunityto cover in a variety of different settings across Specialist Mental HealthServices, means:
We are looking for Registered and Enrolled nurses with excellent communication and time managementskills who can work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC and mental health scope;
Previous Mental Health scope and experience is preferred;
Nurses with the right skills and attitude who do not have mental health experience but have mental health scope, would be considered on a case by case basis;
Excellent communication and time management skills;
Confident and resilient;
Strong focus on relationship-building;
Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi.
