We're offering a competitive salary starting from $81,206 to $97,557, depending on experience.

Our Family Violence Response Specialist is responsible for assessing family harm and, in conjunction with interagency partners, and the New Zealand Police you will be instrumental in planning and implementing interventions that contribute to the safety and well-being of families.
The position will require you to coordinate our response and to facilitate, lead, guide and support our work with the New Zealand Police to reduce family harm. You will also be workingclosely with our partner agencies to ensure the safety and best interests of children and young people are at the centre of what we do.
Key requirements of the role include:
An experienced and qualified social worker with great safety assessment skills, clear communication and relationship management.
Clear understanding of Oranga Tamariki's thresholds, as you will be part of the daily Safety Assessment Meetings (SAM) in conjunction with Police and other family violence stakeholders.
Sound knowledge of Oranga Tamariki Act 1989, the Vulnerable Children's Act 2014 and other relevant legislation
Experience working with tamariki and whanau as well as proven successful experience in working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, in particular Maori and Pacific cultures
Knowledge of family violence pathways
Knowledge of the theories of family violence and interventions, and associated concepts/constructs
An understanding of Non-Government sector (NGO) and the public sector context within which OT works
A full, clean and valid New Zealand driver's licence
You must have a Social Work Qualification that is recognised by the New Zealand Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) orhave full SWRB registration and current Annual Practising Certificate
Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
