Reporting to the National Director Services, the Strategic Advisor will provide strategic support and direction to the wider Services Leadership Team. This is a senior leadership role with a broad scope of responsibility. It requires an analytically strong approach to research and data collection and the ability to approach issues, risks and opportunities from an objective perspective with great knowledge and sensitivity to the social sector.
The Strategic Advisor provides recommendations for how the Services Leadership Team can best realise Emerge Aotearoa's strategic objectives and expand their external collaborative network, by identifying emerging risks and opportunities and implementing innovative change in line with Emerge Aotearoa's values and Strategic Pou.
We are seeking a natural communicator with strong analytical skills, a future-focused mindset, and a genuine passion for identifying opportunities for change innovation and development within an NGO environment. You will be motivated to make a meaningful impact on the people we support and their whānau, and you will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Relevant tertiary qualification (and/or experience equivalent)
Full clean driver's licence
A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in a strategic advisory role, preferably in the non-profit sector, with a focus on mental health, disability, and housing
Knowledge and/or experience of contemporary issues in social service delivery
Proven ability to lead and embed sustainable change
Strong interpersonal and networking skills
Proven ability to influence effectively
Experience of developing and implementing strategy and business plans
Strong analytical skills as well as strong capability in research and evaluation methodologies, design, processes and reporting
A demonstrated ability to deal with complex and emerging issues
