Job Description What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, this role will provide legal and regulatory advice to the business including drafting, reviewing, advising on, and assisting with negotiations in relation to a wide range of commercial contracts.
You’ll also advise the business on key legislation and other legal requirements, assist with the management and resolution of contentious matters, and assist the wider legal team to ensure the company fulfills its statutory obligations.
Sitting within the Office of the CEO, you’ll be required to demonstrate a detailed understanding of the company and strategy and link the application of law, governance, regulation and wider project management disciplines to help the success of all business units.
What you’ll bring
You’ll be a qualified legal professional (LLB and practicing certificate) who is early in their career and keen to join an in-house legal team. Ideally you will have a couple of years’ experience within a corporate law firm or in-house legal team, but we are also open to recent graduates in this space.
We’re also looking for people with the following skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication with an ability to communicate complex legal and commercial conceptsto different audiences.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters.
Commercially astute.
Collaborative working style and excellent relationship building skills.

Ideally this role will be based out of Wellington with hybrid working from the office and home. However, we’re also open to other locations for the right person.
