About the role
Communicating effectively with the rest of the admin department (this includes the HOD, team leader, admin assistants, mountain hosts and custodians) to ensure the smooth running of the team.
Confident and clear language while using a 2-way radio
Meeting, greeting and farewelling our guests and assisting our guests in the drop zone / car park at the start and end of each day
Orientating and familiarising customers to our mountain facilities and service
Clear communication with our transport team (drivers and dispatch). Helping guests unload or load buses and drivers hand out / receive equipment.
Thinking ahead if it’s a busy day, setting up the indoor / outdoor stanchions mid-afternoon to help manage the queue control at the end of the day when guests are waiting for their bus.
Lighting and keeping the indoor open fireplace stocked up and going with wood throughout the day
Lending a hand whenever possible. This will include helping out fellow team members with shovelling and clearing snow, salting ice, changing recycling and rubbish bins, plus much more.
Can do, helpful attitude and energy is a must!
Frequently assisting the rentals, retail and food and beverage departments. Also, help our lift department with lunch cover with an hour a day outside at a drive station.
Performing media-related tasks such as basic photography and filming
Chaperoning and wearing our mascot suits to bring our mountain mascots to life
Ensuring our guests and departments are aware of / and are involved in the various activities occurring on the mountain
Custodian and cleaning related duties
This role also has the potential to help the ever-evolving Admin and Events department. Specifically, help snowmobile event equipment and or event organisers around the mountain plus set up racecourses and PA equipment out on snow.
This part of the job description is still being worked out and not a guaranteed part of the role.
About You
You will be one of the first points of contact and an ambassador for our mountain. By sharing your passion for The Remarkables and snowsports, you will play an extremely important role in assisting us to make winter legendary for our guests.
