A Consulting partner is looking for an experienced architect who has strengths across the network, security and infrastructure domains
Collada is partnering with an organisation that offers managed services, professional services and procurement services. They have recently won a major piece of work that requires them to scale up their team relatively quickly. We have been asked to help them engage a Principal Architect who has a deep dive in the Network, Infrastructure and Security Architecture domain who possesses a fine balance of technical expertise and business acumen, capable of providing both detailed technical guidance and strategic business advisory services.
You will serve as a key advisor to their client, designing robust network, infrastructure and security solutions that support their business objectives. You will be expected to engage with stakeholders to understand their business needs, translating these into comprehensive technical strategies.
Role: Principal Architect (Network, Infrastructure, Security)
Length: 6 Months (could progress into Permanent)
Rate: $140ph
Location: Auckland
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and implement advanced network solutions, including SD-WAN and Zero Trust frameworks.
Provide infrastructure architecture expertise, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.
Offer business advisory services, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and infrastructure blueprints.
Lead technology decision-making processes, aligning with both technical and business goals.
Engage in hands-on configuration and troubleshooting as needed to guide projects to successful completion.
Ideal Candidate:
Extensive experience in network and infrastructure architecture within a consulting environment.
Proficient in SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and other modern networking technologies.
Demonstrated ability to provide business advisory and spot growth opportunities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCDP) and a BSc/BA in a related field are highly regarded.
