About the organisation
He Waka Tapu is a Kaupapa Māori organisation who have been supporting individuals and the community for over 20 years. He Waka Tapu works to increase the health and wellbeing of Whānau.
About the role
Papa D’s is located at He Waka Tapu office in Otautahi. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is ready to take the next step in their hospitality career.
TheCafeCoordinatorwillbe responsible for entire daily running of Papa D’s, this includes:
Creating yummykai options for morning tea and lunch
Ordering supplies
Creating menus and recipes
Catering for hui
Creating budgets and meeting sales targets
The Cafe Coordinator will work closely with our administration and events team to provide catering options for internal/external/community hui and events.
We also have future visions of the cafe being a learning environment for whaiora who express an interest in hospitality, this is where you can share your skills and knowledge to help someone develop their potential.
Skills and experience
We are looking for an experienced barista who is used to a fast-paced environment and has passion and love for kawhe and kai. You will have:
